There are many types of pantry pest all with a similar goal, to consume items within the home. Often, they are found in breakfast cereals, flour, grains, crackers, cake mixes and other types of stored foods. They also feed on other items such as bird sees, ornamental corn and pet foods. Common pests include, Indian meal moths, grain beetles, drugstore beetles, flour beetles and bean beetles. Clues to infestation issues include finding moths or worms in and around storage areas and inside of cupboards. They also can be found in open containers of food items. Often, they are brought into the home from contaminated food products.
