Ants are social insects living in colonies usually underground and depending on the species, these groups can consist of millions of members. There are over 12,000 species of ants worldwide, the most common ones which cause problems inside the home are pavement ants and carpenter ants. The colonies consist of at least one queen and worker ants who take care of the queen and feed the young.
