Mosquitoes are a very common pest in the US. They are fly with wings and long legs. It the females that feed on human blood, piercing the skin with their tube-like mouth parts. Mosquitoes can be a big problem in areas with standing water as they breed and lay eggs in even the smallest amount.
Are Mosquitoes Dangerous?
In humans, mosquitoes have been known to spread disease such as West Nile Virus, dengue and malaria. More commonly, though, mosquitoes threaten family events more than health, causing skin irritations from their feeding. Even the family dog can become infected with canine heartworm through a mosquito bite.
How Do You Get Rid of Mosquitoes?
